Hello and welcome to Colorado Springs Hypnosis! We’re thrilled to have you here. We believe that hypnosis is an amazing tool that can help to make positive changes in your life, whether that means quitting a bad habit, enhancing a skill, or getting rid of negative emotions.

We’re always striving to better ourselves and to better serve our clients. That’s why we’ve expanded our services to include some metaphysical disciplines. Charles is not only a skilled hypnotherapist, he’s also an experienced astrologer and Reiki practitioner. And Brisa has a rare talent for intuitive readings.

What is Hypnosis

Hypnosis is the voluntary act of “going” into a trance, which is really just a fancy way of saying we are opening a line of communication to the unconscious mind.  This can be done either using self hypnosis techniques or with the guidance of a hypnotist.  People use hypnosis for several reasons such as habit changes, releasing negative emotions or traumas, creating spaces for spiritual experiences and much more.  

I often like to relate hypnosis to meditation, because the states of mind you achieve with both are the same.  The different is how you get there and how you use the state of mind once you are there.  Meditation is a lifestyle and practice.  When people come to work with a hypnotist, its usually short term so they can accomplish a goal.  You can also have a self hypnosis practice, which usually starts learning from a hypnotist.  

The big difference between meditation or even self hypnosis and a one on one hypnosis session, is with a session, you have someone with you to guide you through the whole process.  Based on your needs, wants and values, we craft suggestions and experiences to help you get in the right mindset to achieve your goals.  

What does it Cost

2 session Packages are $600.  This our most popular package.

5 session packages, $1200.

Our 2-session smoking cessation program, which is guaranteed for life, is $600. Any backup sessions for smoking or other tobacco are free for life.

Individual sessions are $333.  We generally use these for one time experiences such as a past life session.  

Our Reiki sessions are $111 for an individual and $175 for couples.  

What can i achieve with hypnosis

Hypnosis can be used to help you  achieve many goals. It is an excellent tool for getting rid of unwanted habits such as smoking, over eating or nail biting.  You can use it to stop procrastinating or to start going to the gym again.  If you are suffering from excessive fears we can help you let them go, even if you have had them all your life.  Hypnosis is also good for stress or anxiety that is brought on in daily life or revolves around a single event.

How many session do i need

Different people and different goals will require a varying number of sessions.  That said, we recommend starting with two.  Many changes can be made with just a couple of sessions.  

For those who may need more sessions, we have other packages available.  It will be best to talk to us personally before we can make a recommendation based on your personal needs.

How hypnosis feels will depend on how your mind works.  People who are kinesthetic, or touchy, feely, will usually really feel the process.  They may feel like they are floating or sinking or something else. 

People who are visual will create wonderful imagery in their minds, seeing very vivid and beautiful scenes.

People who are auditory, enjoy the sound of our voices and let it lull them into a comfortable and relaxing place.  

Most people will find that they experience a combination of these sensations.  We tell people to keep an open mind, because it is different for every one and and even every trance can feel a bit different.  

Do you lose control with hypnosis

While in hypnosis, you will be fully awake and alert, however you will be very relaxed.  Trance is actually a state we refer to as hyper awareness, which is one of the reasons you can easily learn new, healthy habits so easily.  People see hypnotists to help change bad habits or limiting beliefs all the time, however, before a hypnotist can help you make those changes, you need to make the conscious decision that you are ready to make them. Once I guide you into a comfortable trance, I will then give you suggestions which you have already asked for.  Long story short, you will use hypnosis to gain control of your life.

Currently we do not accept health insurance.  Most health insurance companies do not pay for non-traditional wellness modalities such as hypnosis.  

If you have a health savings plan (HSP) or health savings account set up with your company, you may be able to ask them if they will cover these services.  They will either let you use your HSP card, or they will reimburse you the funds you paid after you submit the receipt.

can i stop meds or treatment

We are not doctors, physician’s assistants, physiatrist, counselors or otherwise.  We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prescribe for any illnesses or injuries.  

If you are currently taking medication or receiving treatment from a doctor, you can still come see us.  We do recommend you talk to your doctor about it.  If your goal is to stop or alter your medications or treatment, you need to make that decision with your physician.  

If you ask us, “can I stop taking my blood pressure meds,” “can I stop going to physical therapy,” “can I stop using my antidepressants,” or anything else like that, we are going to tell you to talk to your doctor.  

What do i do to prepare

Dress comfortably.  We provide a comfortable chair to sit in to help you relax but your comfort starts with you.  If you are comfortable in suits, wear a suit.  If you like jeans and a T-shirt, that is fine too. 

Hydrate. When going into trance, people tend to relax their muscles, even their jaw muscles.  You will likely get a dry mouth during the process.  We will have water at the office for you, but once you sink into trance, you won’t want to be reaching for it any more.

Have an open mind.  My favorite part about hypnosis is you do not need to believe in it for it to work.  That being said, if you don’t want to go into trance, you won’t.  The best thing you can do is follow the directions, enjoy the experience, then enjoy the results.

As stated earlier, we do not treat, cure, diagnose or prescribe for diseases, illnesses or disorders.  In this day in age, we use a lot of medical terms to describe how we feel.  People say they get migraines, have depression, have a phobia, etc. without having been diagnosed by a medical professional. 

Because we use client oriented techniques, whatever you tell us your situation is, is what we will work with.  Frankely, if you were to say “I have *diagnosis*”, we are not even qualified to tell you that you do or don’t.  Depending on what your situation is, we may ask if you have seen a medical professional and we may even recommend that you do so before working with us.  

If you are coming to see us to help with something for which you are already seeing medical professionals, we will need a referral to ensure we do not interfere with their treatment plan.
